Notice that this PSS is task oriented, organized by task rather than system functionality. This seems like a simple concept, but it's frequently implemented incorrectly. In a well designed task-oriented PSS the tasks may span several pieces of system functionality.

In this PSS the Contents tree is limited to 3 levels. Sub-tasks are nested within the topics for high-level tasks. In this example, "Making features available" contains several sub-topics that are completed in different components of the software.
