Manager of the world-wide training department for Astracon’s solution to provide automated provisioning across multi-vendor, multi-technology telecommunication networks for DSL, IP VPN, and wholesale services such as SDH/SONET.
Key Achievements:
- Planned and delivered training to hundreds of users representing diverse user populations (architects, developers, customer end-users, and sales teams).
- Managed a team of developers who were developing network simulators for use in training and testing.
- Developed training guides, study sheets, and integrated C++, Java, and GUI tutorials for a telecommunications provisioning product suite that ranged from CORBA-only provisioning server engines to GUIs.
- Trained a wide range of users varying from solution architects modeling tier-1 carrier networks to end-users provisioning services in a GUI.
- Developed a mobile training environment consisting of a UNIX server and several client Windows-based laptops to deliver training on a live system at customer premises. The environment supported the delivery of installation

- Developed a series of task-based, customer-oriented books about troubleshooting and advanced administration for the DEFINITY ECS system. This series of books dramatically reduced DEFINITY helpline tickets and resulted in an annual savings of over $500K in the first year after their production. This project received the Lucent Millennium Award.

Information Developer, Comtech Services, Inc. (1995-1997)
